Apprenticeships Information Evening
Middlesbrough TS9 5AL
Stokesley School are inviting a range of local Training Providers, Local Employers of Apprentices and past students who have either successfully completed an apprenticeship or are currently doing one, along with their employers, to share their experiences. Local employers are invited to launch their apprenticeship vacancies at the event and liaise with the training providers! Students are invited to register with training providers, learn how to use the GOV>UK Apprenticeship search site and meet the local employers, they can also subscribe to a unique newsletter to keep them updated of new opportunities as they arise, even after they have left school. Hambleton Council have agreed to work with local small businesses to offer additional funding and also to make this available until the end of July, to coincide with school leavers looking for opportunities - this is a major breakthrough as traditionally the vacancies do not arise at the right time for students leaving school ! Stokesley School has also invited our local MP Rishi Sunak to be guest speaker at the event, alongside Jo Thompson from the Tees Valley Learning Providers' Network and Gail Dalton-Ayres the ASK Project lead for the North Region. Stokesley School Careers Advisor - Janine Harrison-Henry is also an Apprenticeship Champion, committed to supporting students to fulfil their goals and the Governments' target of 3 million apprenticeship starts by 2020.
